I just want to write sth about what I feel about this movie. I honestly don't know what it wants to talk about at the very beginning. The little rabit wants to see his mom desperately, the rabit dad extremely fears of the bird shown by his move to live on the sea even though they are terrestial rabits, then is Bill, the constructor but dispites the kingdom he creates. And the grown-ups keeps telling John that he does not belong here, and all the rules and MOla. John is quite a little rabit, he's smart, brave and bold as any youngsters should be. He simply wants to stay with his mom and he just does it, regardless of dady's fear and Bill's warning.
The English translation of the title is Beyond, which makes more sense to me than the adventure in the feather kingdom. I see the difference between the two worlds in the movie as the living and dead. Mom is dead which is why she cannot go back to where her husband and son are supposed to be in, and also explain the sudden outrage of Mola. She is the core of maintaining the equilibrium of the two worlds, giving out too many immature tickets break the equilibrium. Mola's character is like a snake, the tickets are her skin, as the skin mature, the tickets will natrually shed which means the people should be taken to the beyond, this happens all natrually, it is how it works in the world. I don't think Mola is the rules, there's no rules, and all the things are just nature, she is nature and what John learn is also nature, about how it works in the world.
What is a remarkable change is the letters. Dad does not believe there's connection of the two worlds, and that's why he throws John's bottle away. But finally, after their adventure, I believe they send letters to the mom frequently, even carrots. There's faith in dady's heart. He sees the mom collection of letters and believe there's connection. But what really is important is not the part of receiving, but the part of believing. As long as he believes she is still with them, somewhere in this world, the letter is sure heading somewhere.
And John understands better of the world, of the nature, rather than rules I suppose. He says goodbye to mom and lives happily on land. The adventure is an experience of learning lives and nature.
