Love/Hate dentist Peter O’Meara told how he kept the plastic bag used in his character’s murder.

The Tipperary man’s character Andrew was killed off by psycho gangster Fran, played by Peter Coonan, in a violent suffocation scene.

When asked if he’d hung onto anything from the show, he said: “I kept the bag.”

Many Love/Hate fans went online after the Season 4 finale in November to express their confusion over Andrew’s death.

Speaking with Will Leahy on 2fm on Thursday O’Meara also responded to some criticism of the fourth series and ranted about “tabloids”.

He said: “Season 3 ended on such a high and Darren’s exit had such an emotional impact – I can’t believe he’s not still alive.
