It's always feeling good to see some goodie oldies, especially some rare young faces that you no longer can expect to see anymore, take Kurt Russell for instance. It's an okay film, and i have it downloaded. To my great surprise, it has two DVD menu snapshots and two formats English subtitle that snycs quite well with the avi video altogether packed in one folder, which seems quite rare these days dare I say.
I wasnot born in the 60s or anytime near that particular period history of time, so there's no other way for me to get any real life knowledge of that time-when computer is considered as a 'luxury' for college students even in the U.S.A.. Dexter(Kurt Russell), a college student, who wants to piss the Dean off, together with his friends went to meet this big shot company chairman A. J. Arno for a charity donation, a computer. So, the scrooge businessman A. J. Arno came up with a plan of giving out this half broken computer to the college and immediately withdrawn the yearly donation fee of $20,000. The dean has gone terribly mad, but the students can have a real modernized computer now in their classroom. Before given to A. J. Arno, the computer set was employed by the Space Research Center at the Pacific Institute of Technology, so the old machine crashed just after one class demonstration. Dexter, volunteered to go to the hardware shop and came back to fix the computer on a thundering night. He got an electric shock and then turn into a robot-he memorizes everything stored in the computer machine and turn into one.
It's a good movie to watch, even in the new century. And it's a bit funny, thinking that you are watching a computer themed movie through a computer. How time flies and how amazing it is to witness it all just in a matter of 90 minutes.
