Plot Summary:Soviet Kazakhstan in 1979. Sher becomes an intern in a team led by the competent Soviet investigator Snegirev. The team is chasing a cannibalistic serial killer. The authorities order the criminal to be treated in a mental hospital due to concerns that this incident might negatively affect the Moscow Olympic Games if it receives international attention.
