Plot Summary:Prospector Dave Graham meets with an accident, falling down a steep precipice. Painted Feather, an Indian chief, happens along and hears Graham calling for help. He rescues him and takes him to his camp, where his sister Owanono nurses him. She falls in love with him and shows him where a lost gold mine is situated and some nuggets that came from it. Meanwhile, Mr. and Mrs. Blake from a mining camp are caught cheating in a poker game and sent across the desert, where Mrs. Blake is overcome with exhaustion. She manages to get to Dave's log cabin and pleads with him to go rescue her husband, which he does. He falls in love with Mrs. Blake and she, knowing this, tries to make him believe that she will desert her husband for him. The three go to the desert; when they get there, the Blakes knock Dave unconscious and take the bags of gold nuggets from him--and discover that the bags contain plain old rocks. When Blake realizes this, he curses his wife and threatens to kill her, but she grasps the revolver and kills him accidentally. Meanwhile, Dave struggles to get out of his bonds. After Mrs. Blake kills her husband, she attempts to go back where Dave is and being lost, accidentally runs up against him. They are both lost in a sandstorm on the desert.
